Charlie Moore, long-time executive producer for Anderson Cooper, has been appointed as CNN’s new vice president of primetime programming. In his new role, Moore will oversee CNN’s weeknight programming from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. ET.

The announcement was made on June 4 by Eric Sherling, CNN’s executive vice president of U.S. programming. “Charlie will collaborate with our prime-time executive producers to enhance our evening lineup, ensuring we showcase our top-tier journalism and deliver the best possible viewing experience,” Sherling wrote in an email to staff.
